Chester Bamsu Jennings or also popular as Lyfe Jennings is a American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer. Beside that, he also plays guitar, bass and piano. Lyfe Jennings began singing at a young age in a church choir in Toledo, his hometown. In February 1993 Lyfe Jennings was arrested on drug charges. In October 1993, when he was 19, Lyfe was sentenced to a 10-year prison term on arson charges. During his time in prison, Lyfe Jennings continued to write music and rekindle his faith in God.
