Donald John Trump dikenal sebagai Donald Trump adalah seorang pengusaha real estate dan produser televisi yang terjun ke dunia politik. Donald Trump lahir pada tanggal 14 Juni 1946 di Queens, New York City, Amerika Serikat, anak ke empat dari 5 orang bersaudara. Ayahnya Frederick C. Trump dan ibunya Mary Macleod Trump. Frederick Trump adalah seorang pengusaha real estate yang spesialis dalam bidang konstruksi dan mengoperasikan apartemen di Queens, Staten Island dan Brooklyn.

Saat berusia 13 tahun, Donald Trump dikirim ke New York Military Academy, dengan harapan sekolah tersebut dapat membuatnya lebih disiplin. Setelah mengalahkan 16 pesaingnya dari Partai Republik, bermusuhan dengan sebagain besar kelompok kemapanan Partai Republik dan memicu kontroversi selama Konvensi Nasional Partai Republik, Donald Trump akhirnya dinyatakan resmi menjadi calon presiden dari Republik. Usai pemungutan suara pada Konvensi Nasional Republik yang memastikan Trump mendapatkan suara mayoritas 1.237 delegasi yang merupakan syarat minimal menjadi sah calon presiden untuk Pemilu Presiden Amerika Serikat 8 November nanti.Pada 21 Juli 2016 Trump menerima pencalonannya sebagai Presiden Amerika Serikat pada Republican National Convention di Cleveland.
