Through the official page, Guns n 'Roses announced that Indonesia is the only country in Southeast Asia which they will visit. Hard rock band that had skyrocketed in the early decades of the 90's is now manned by Axl Rose (vocals), DJ Ashba (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Tommy Stinson (bass), Richard Fortus (guitar), Ron (guitar) , Chris Pitman (keyboards) and Frank Ferrer (drums).

Jadwal Java Rockin' Land 7,8,9 Agustus 2009

Festival Musik Rock yang disebut-sebut sebagai yang terbesar di Indonesia tahun 2009 ini, Java Rockin' Land siap untuk digelar mulai tanggal 7 hingga 9 Agustus 2009 di Carnaval Beach Ancol, Jakarta. Festival Musik Java Rockin' Land ini akan dimeriahkan oleh 89 pertunjukan dari artis dalam negeri dan 10 artis dari luar negeri seperti Mr Big dan Vertical Horizon.

Promotor Java Rockin' Land, Peter F Gontha, menyambut gembira kesediaan dari para musisi baik yang dari dalam maupun luar negeri untuk mengambil bagian dalam festival musik rock Java Rockin' Land ini. Festival Java Rockin' Land sendiri sempat terkendala akibat bom kuningan beberapa waktu yang lalu.

"Jujur setelah bom itu banyak pihak yang mesti diyakinkan apakah festival ini mau dilanjutkan atau tidak. Mulai dari panitia, keamanan, sponsor, dan tentu band yang akan tampil. Syukurlah sekarang sudah siap semua," terang Peter F. Gotha saat memberikan keterangan pers di Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, Rabu (5/8).

Festival Musik Rock Java Rockin' Land yang rencananya akan dibuat tahunan ini, akan menampilkan sederetan nama besar mulai dari Mr BIG, Vertical Horizon, Mew, Secondhand Serenade, dan band-band lokal ternama seperti /rif , Netral, Seringai, The Brandals, Burgerkill, Pure Saturday, Gigi, Purgatory, The Upstairs dan Slank. Untuk mengakomodasi pertunjukan puluhan band ternama tersebut, promotor Java Rockin' Land akan menyiapkan 7 panggung dimana 3 diantaranya akan menjadi panggung utama. Konser Musik Java Rockin' Land ini akan berlangsung mulai pukul 4 sore hingga sekitar pukul 12 malam.

All American Reject Nginap di Ritz Carlton

Grup Band asal Oklahoma, All-American Rejects (AAR) direncanakan akan menggelar konser di Jakarta pada 17 Agustus 2009 mendatang atau bertepatan dengan peringatan HUT RI ke-64. Band All American Rejects pun memilih untuk menginap di Hotel Ritz Carlton, hotel yang menjadi sasaran pengeboman beberapa waktu yang lalu. Lihat video ledakan bom di JW Marriott dan Ritz Carlton.

Menuru promotor Nada Promotama, sebelumnya All American Rejects telah diberikan beberapa nama hotel untuk mereka pilih sebagai tempat menginap. Namun band yang terkenal dengan hits 'Dirty Little Secret' itu ternyata lebih memilih Hotel Ritz Carlton. Meskpun mereka sudah tahu banhwa Hotel Ritz Carlton merupakan sasaran bom bunuh diri, namun rupanya hal tersebut bukan masalah bagi mereka.

"Mereka memilih menginap di bombing side Jakarta. Mereka minta menginap di Ritz Carlton," ujar Emil Mahyudin, CEO Nada Promotama ditemui di Douggers, La Codefin, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, Kamis (6/8/2009).

Konser Musik All American Reject yang sedianya akan berlangsung tepat di hari ulang tahun RI ke 64 ini adalah rangkaian tour "I Wanna Rock" AAR. All American Reject juga akan pentas di festival Summersonic, Jepang, pada akhir pekan ini.

"AAR sangat senang ikut menjadi bagian dalam perayaan kemerdekaan kita," jelas Emil Mahyudin.
