Album Baru Iwan Fals, "Keseimbangan". Penyanyi legendaris Indonesia, Iwan Fals, meluncurkan album baru bertitel Keseimbangan. Album baru ini diluncurkan bersamaan dengan konser yang diadakan di rumah Iwan Fals, Leuwinanggung, Bogor, Jawa Barat.

Pandji Pragiwaksono. Siapa yang tidak kenal presenter acara dan host kuis “Kena Deh” yang suka ngerjain orang ini. Selebritis ganteng ini kembali merilis Album Baru yang cukup unik, “YOU'LL NEVER WHO WHEN SOMEONE COME IN AND PRESS PLAY ON YOUR PAUSED LIVE”. Bagi yang belum tahu, album baru ini adalah album kedua dari Pandji Pragiwaksono karena sebelumnya Pandji sudah pernah mengeluarkan album. Baru tahu yah? Kasihan. :D

Bagi Pandji sendiri, di album ini ia merasa dapat lebih inspiratif dibandingkan dengan album sebelumnya. Tema lagu-lagunya diambil dari berbagai pengalaman perjalanan hidup seorang Pandji. "Inspirasinya dari apa pun yang gue pikirin. Ini datang dari mana pun termasuk dari orang-orang yang hadir dalam kehidupan kita," jelas Pandji. Pengalaman dari ngerjain orang-orang di jalanan kah? :D

"Ini mungkin sebagai karya subyektif saya. Alirannya hip hop dan saya berharap bisa melakukan aksi untuk semua orang. Saya bangga menjadi jajaran orang-orang pembela hip hop," ujar Pandji di situs kapanlagi.com, Senin (6/7).

Ditengah semakin maraknya album beraliran pop melayu, semoga album baru Pandji Pragiwaksono ini sukses memberi warna baru dan mendapat apresiasi dari pencinta musik di Indonesia. Amin.

Lamb Of God - Wrath

There were those who wanted to go to hell with Lamb Of God? Metalcore Band from Richmond, Virginia, USA. Let's go out with their new album. Wrath! Walk with me in Hell!

Wrath was an album that gave the breakthrough in the concept of music from Lamb of God on the whole. Although this was the 5th album, but generally the concept of music that was carried by this band did not change, good from the side sound, and the arrangement and the musical composition far were not different from Sacrament. But in this album of Lamb of God dared to experiment played the time and the rhythm that really changed from in each song, and canned be heard more ‘easy listening’ . For die-hard fans of Lamb of God it was definitely most startled to hear the first song in this album that be entitled “The Passing”. An instrumental song with the composition of the acoustics guitar that dominated in the main part this song afterwards experienced the transition inside riff with the very melodious guitar. Amazing.

Album Review : Avenged SevenFold - Self Titled

The self-titled album by Avenged Sevenfold is the fifth one that they have produced since 2001. Starting off their career in the garage of M. Shadows (vocals), Synyster Gates (lead guitar), Zacky Vengeance (guitar), Johnny Christ (Bass), and The Rev (drums) found themselves back at their starting point after their last tour in 2005. While on the road, they actively sought sounds to incorporate into Avenged Sevenfold latest album . Borrowing from different genres such as hip hop, classical and country, their latest album has a new twist to the hardcore metal they have produced in the past.

Avenged Sevenfold followers can expect the same high energy songs, with killer guitar riffs, melodic vocals, and intense drumming from previous albums. The band helped compose the symphonic melodies in the songs “Afterlife” and “A little bit of Heaven” which lends to a hauntingly dramatic compilation.

Extending their musical boundaries, Avenged Sevenfold slowed down for the song “Dear God” which featured the creative use of the banjo to give a country rock accent.

Each song is an entity on its own. “Afterlife” is an excellent example of the bands capabilities to compose, not just a song, but music that is complicated, intriguing, and haunting wrapped together. “A little Piece of heaven” is theatrically alluring with morbid storytelling.

The band is evolving from their underground beginnings to sounds that are intensely dramatic while continuing to hold on to their Avenged Sevenfold identity. The album will intrigue new listeners and old fans alike.
